Wyatt Howard Media Kit

2011 Season

My name is Wyatt Howard and I made IMCA history in 2010 when I became the youngest driver ever, at the age of 14, to win an IMCA State Championship.

I’ve been racing since I was seven in an 8HP go-kart. From the age of seven until I turned twelve, I raced 22 races and won three karting championships. Then I became too old for karting and my father, Harvey Howard, was racing in the IMCA Modified Division; I told him I wanted to try “the big cars”. My dad felt I should start in the modifieds because, as he said, “The first things learned in a racing environment are the things you remember instinctively for the rest of your life.”

As a student, I am proud to be on the Honor Roll for three consecutive years.

I am athletic and play basketball for my school, the Pinnacle Panthers, and love to spend time with my family. My passion, however, is racing and that’s where I hope to make my career.

Last year I raced 37 races around Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado and Idaho. My first Main Event win was at Diamond Mountain Speedway in Vernal, Utah. I also placed third overall in points at Diamond Mountain Speedway and won their track’s Rookie of the Year title.

I also place fifth overall in points at Desert Thunder Raceway and took home their Rookie of the Year title in 2010.

At fourteen I achieved something never before achieved in IMCA history, the youngest driver ever to win a State Championship. This year my ambition is to race in at least 20 races and keep my title as Utah State Champion. To accomplish my goal, I have a clearly defined career path ahead of me which continues into the 2012 season as well.

This media kit gives you the chance to be associated with me and join me on the journey. I hope you choose to read on.
